My family and I run a business called @Fibre2Fabric where we dye all sorts of exotic #fibre #yarn, and #fabric.

I love #languagelearning. I studied #German and #Spanish as a kid, took #Japanese in uni, and I'm currently studying #ASL #Cree #Tokipona #Spanish and #Chinese. I also dabble in #French and #Latin sometimes and I'm learning #Greggshorthand to write faster. Cree is my favourite language and Spanish is my second.

I've been cursed since childhood with that lovely trifecta of #heds #pots and #mcas. Healing slowly but surely.

Hope I get to meet even more cool people the algorithms would normally drown out on other social media sites. I love it here!

So, I'm going to do something different.

To impart some Druid wisdom, each day I'm going to post one of my herbs and medicinal plants cards. I want to spread knowledge to help people and to bring something fun, interesting and positive to timelines.

Today is, Yarrow.

Viola alba (que no és alba, perquè aquesta espècie es pot trobar en blanc i en violeta -crec que pel pH del sòl-).
La flor que anuncia la primavera. La Vida que retorna a la llum.
Aquí, les Viola alba, són quasi tan oloroses com la oficinal Viola odorata.
És de les poques remeieres que són fredes i humides.
De fet la part medicinal és, sobretot, la fulla. Que amb els seus mucíl·lags suavitza les mucoses i aporta humitat (en el sentit literal i en el del llenguatge simbòlic de la medicina tradicional mediterrània) i refresca, alleujant les condicions calentes o seques.

És a dir que, entre d'altres coses, és una bona per ajudar al procés curatiu en cas de febre, inflamació (que és una febre local), refredats, mucositat espessa, cistitis, alguns mals de panxa, quists i fibromes.

A més, tota ella és comestible.

La violeta, és la timidesa ben portada.

I take #herbalism seriously, and I think it's a vital life skill for everyone to learn. Obviously don't consume dangerous #plants or ones you're not familiar with, especially in large quantities, and don't rely on herbalism as a substitute for modern medicine for serious conditions. And always do your research first. But if you've ever drank ginger tea to help you feel better when you had a stomach bug, you've used an herbal remedy. One day, it may be all we have access to, so best to learn now.

I write queer fiction, shared as both webserials and ebooks. Mostly SFF chosen family, some kink, lots of fucking-with-tropes.

On a personal, I'm nonbinary (they/them), Jewish, autistic, disabled, parent, polyamorous, radical, and talk about all of it.
