Started The Swallows by Lisa Lutz, and I'm already 20% into it and liking it so far. It's like an anti-Dead Poets Society, but where DPS kind of ignored private school cliques, - all the students seemed to mostly get along - Lutz leans in hard and it's far more interesting (don't get me wrong: I ❤️ Dead Poets Society). My main complaint is that the long list of characters - students and teachers - is hard to track in the #audiobook. #Bookstodon #Books #AmReading #FridayReads @bookstodon #Fiction

Thank you to the #ADHD, #Dyslexic and #VisionImpaired people here on mastadon who asked for audiobooks of my writings. The more people tell me their access needs, the better position I am in to encourage/ convince my publishers to make my work #Accessible.

Delighted my latest publisher agreed to make an #Audiobook of Wired Our Own Way; An Anthology of #Autistic Irish voices, which will be released tomorrow. Not sure all the platforms it will be on yet.

@stevendbrewer I got so much out of the Moby Dick #audiobook.

As much as I enjoyed every page, let's face it, it's a slog. But the actor reading was amazing, lots of emotion and character voices. I took it on a bunch of long car trips: huge fun. And the archaic style and pacing, all the nautical jargon and dialect, the audio was a HUGE help.

I love to read in bed at the end of the day and I wore headphones and read along. God I enjoyed it so much. #Audiobooks count!

Award-winning actor Courtney B. Vance will be narrating the first ever audio edition of one of the most acclaimed literary biographies of the past 30 years, David Levering Lewis’ two volume work on the scholar, author and civil rights activist W.E.B. Du Bois. @AssociatedPress reports:
