Windkraft und Photovoltaik geben sich bei der Stromversorgung oft die Klinke in die Hand: Die beiden wichtigsten Erzeugungsarten bei der Energiewende wechseln sich meist wetterbedingt ab und sorgen so dafür, dass immer ein gewisser Anteil an regenerativ erzeugten Strom zur Verfügung steht.

Am 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗰𝗵 kann vor allem der Wind der Solarenergie aber nicht das Wasser reichen: Nur 𝟭𝟬% des vorraussichtlich benötigten Elektrizität wird durch Windräder erzeugt. Zum Vergleich: 2024 waren es im Jahresdurchschnitt 𝟯𝟯%.

Dafür versorgt uns über die Mittagsstunden die Sonne zu bis zu 𝟲𝟱% mit klimafreundlich erzeugten Strom! Die Lücke, die der fehlende Wind hinterlässt, muss dagegen mit fossilen Energieträgern, Stromimporten und durch das Leeren von Pumpspeicherwerken ausgeglichen werden.
