Mother of the Gods
Daughter of Mother Earth
Great Titan of motherhood
Lady of sorrows
By your grace were they born
By your actions were they saved
And the Omphalos was your commemoration

Rhea of ages past
Mother of Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon
Who rule the heavens
The lands of the dead
And the ever-roiling seas
Protecting the earth that birthed us
And the very stars in the skies

Rhea of ages past
Mother of Hestia, Hera, and Demeter
Who rule over mortal life
Gracing us with their divine light
Protecting us from harm
From the evil of oathbreakers
And the ravages of hunger

Remembered forever
A divine force of protection
The feminine blessings often unappreciated
And of the fierceness of mothers
May your strength flow through us
All who live upon this earth
As we struggle in the face of adversity

This week's Minoan Tarot cards:

Four of Horns: Respect and value the material foundations of your life, but hold your material possessions loosely, keeping them in perspective. Don't be seduced or distracted by physical things when other aspects of life may be more important.

Balance: Avoid extremes. Find balance in your life, a sense of moderation, balance between work and play, exercise and rest. This is an ongoing process, not a one-time thing.

This deck is my creation. Details and many more card pix at minoantarot.com/

This article shows that not every popular method in the witch/occult/magic/pagan community is for everyone in the community - and that this is okay.

"I Promise You Don’t Have to Read Tarot to Be a Witch"

Fivefold Law · I Promise You Don’t Have To Read Tarot To Be A WitchThe right deck for me is no deck at all.

This week's Minoan Tarot cards:

Eight of Horns: Success via hard work, dedication, and skill. Buckle down and do what you know you need to, and you'll get to where you want to go.

The Fool: Trust in the universe. Let your instincts guide you. Drop any ideas of "should" or "ought to" and allow yourself to be fully in touch with the divine within the cosmos and within you.

I created this deck myself; it is my art.

This week's Minoan Tarot cards:

Five of Daggers: Obstacles, complications, and difficulties. Nothing unexpected for these Interesting Times, really. But they are made far worse when we reflect our own fear and anxiety onto the situation. So take a step back and take a deep breath. These bumps in the road will smooth out as we go along, but only if we face them honestly.

Priestess of Rhytons: Lean into your intuition and empathy, and let them steady you. While your relationships with others are important, a healthy relationship with your own emotions is paramount.

This deck is my own creation, my own hand-painted art. Find all the details and many more card pix here: minoantarot.com/

Question for #pagan folks on here: I just bought a pendant online that was described as a sun wheel. It occured to me after it arrived that this symbol could have negative/racist connetations. So now my autistic brain is freaking out that I might have accidentally bought a neonazi symbol or something.
Can someone please tell me if this is actually the case? I thought a sun wheel was a circle with a cross in it, so not like this pendant, but maybe I got that wrong? Basically I'm totally confused, an. the last think I want to do is go round unintentionally offending folks. #paganism

#Imbolc es el despertar de la naturaleza, una fiesta celta donde cobra importancia la luz. Los días tienen más tiempo de luz y menos oscuridad anunciando la proximidad de la primavera.

Feliz Imbolc! Bendiciones!

If you can't afford/don't have access to therapy, consider converting to paganism!

No seriously, according to the American Psychological Association, "Myriad studies show that religious or spiritual involvement improves mental health and can be useful for coping with trauma."

In fact, many techniques taught and encouraged in basic therapies are also part of paganism: meditation, mindfulness, spending time in nature, learning aspects of the self, taking control of emotions, setting clear goals, the list goes on.

All for free! Plus, you gain a supportive and welcoming community. Ask your local witch about converting today!

norse heathens of the fediverse:

where are we getting our jewelry? who are the non-shitty folks making this stuff?

(this is an invitation to plug your favorite independent artisans/workshops/whatever. doubly so if you make stuff yourself!)

My Intro

I am a Black and Puerto Rican queer person living in Atlanta. I am married to a cisgender gay man. I am interested in science fiction, horror, programming, and science. I’m a post-structuralist, misanthropic therian, a noetic technologist, and a magician.

I’m not an occultist or pagan. While I understand occultism, I have a tenuous connection to occult cultures; I do not use occult conventions, I do not frequently use occult archetypes, and I use highly abstract, prototypical occult connotations when I do.

I am highly, highly skeptical.

I like post-modern art, surrealism, absurdism, and cosmic horror. I despise shit posting and brain-rot content, and I think Lovecraftian horror has racist undertones and is overdone. I’m a highly skeptical, non-materialist, panpsychic atheist. I only entertain paranormal claims as anything more than fictional stories and subjunctive conditionals if they can minimally be falsified.
