#Dateien auf verschiedenen Rechnern sinnvoll zusammenzuführen, ist lästig. Aber wenn Windows 10 ausläuft, muss ich auch die alten Daten vom PC und 2 weiteren Festplatten mal strukturiert in die Nextcloud bringen. Manchmal wäre mir auch nach Tabula rasa, aber dann lasse ich es doch. Immer mehr Wust also. Nutze zurzeit eigentlich nur noch #Lubuntu auf dem alten #Laptop. Der PC (v. Medion) soll nach dem Ende von Windows 10 dann auch ein reiner #Linux-Rechner werden. Distribution noch unentschieden.

Probando #Lubuntu en una macbook pro early 2011 via live usb

Moved to #Linux recently. Loving it so far. HW Accel works better than on Windows 8.1! Especially on this old pc, which has a bit of a hard time with HD video.

#lubuntu has been really simple to use. I had no issues running the programs and games I normally use too. AppImages are nice.

I'm giving Lubuntu a tryout. I forgot that I ran it on an old Thinkpad R32 back in the LXDE days.

It uses LXQt now and looks pretty nice. There's more polish than with Fedora LXQt and a slightly better app mix.

I like that Lubuntu has a community, a blog and a handbook.

Tomorrow I'll have to see how Snaps work, and I will expect the Google Chrome .deb to shit the bed just like in "full" Ubuntu. Hopefully I can sort that one out.

Every time I've put a #Linux distro on a computer that formerly had Window$ I feel like another machine was saved or even liberated. Watching this #lubuntu install has brought that back for me. I've been living in the Android universe for the last few years and feeling pretty good about it but still... #Linux is right no matter the flavor.

I kind of want to limit myself on #dysfunctionalpotus posts per day, mostly for my own happiness. Looking forward to setting up #lubuntu on my old laptop. #linux

Gut, um #Flatpak|s zu aktualisieren, muss ich nicht Discover nutzen, auch der Befehl "sudo flatpak update" tut das im Terminal. Gerade wieder was gelernt.

Und die #Snap|s unter #Lubuntu (Firefox, Thubderbird) aktualisiere ich mit "sudo snap refresh".

Die meisten Applikationen halte ich natürlich mit "sudo aptitude update" und dann "sudo aptitude safe-upgrade" über die #apt- Paketverwaltung aktuell. Bisher läuft das wunderbar. #Linux #IchLerneLinux

Decidi substituir o Debian 12 pelo Lubuntu da minha máquina. O Debian não me deu problema, estável, funcional e resolvia os meus problemas. Porém, me interessei sobre distros para pc's antigos e resolvi arriscar. Instalei o Lubuntu para observar o funcionamento. Resultado: Gostei de todos aspectos que essa distro têm, funcional, design limpo, leve. Diariamente observo o baixo consumo de memória e fico aliviado lembrando da época do Windows e os perrengues que passava.
