I seem to be missing the typical infosec.exchange (or mastodon) logo on my top left. I can still click it to go back to home but don't see any logo there. Seems to show the icon when making the window very small but not the middle sized logo like typically with this size. Have there been any updates on this recently?

I still find it impressive that basically most of the #infosec bubble migrated to the Fediverse quickly.

Most of them settled in the #InfosecExchange instance.

I'm kinda wondering how they managed this.
It even felt like it went quickly too: suddenly most folks just were on this instance.

And she, a lot of #foss projects like #Frameworks, #gnu projects, #languages were on #fediverse before, but this happened rather gradually while the #itsecurity #community did it kinda sudden.

Tried getting online using Quad9's dns.
I was wondering why i couldn't connect.

Hey, did the infosec.exchange icon change from a red shield/triangle thingy to the blue Mastodon logo in the last 24 hours or so?

Hey, @jerry! With all the news on the #TikTok bans, and the change in the #social media landscape in general, I am wondering about something. mastodonservers.net claims this instance has around 30k users. I am sure, there are a few bad apples in such a large group.

So, here is my question: How exactly are you keeping up with moderating the infosec.exchange instance? Is it just free to post anything? Or is there considerable amount of #moderation going on from your side? Are you having some #volunteers on supporting your moderation efforts? Or is it even automated?

Just curious, no judgement. In my years on infosec.exchange, I haven't seen much unwelcomed posts here :)

Hello, world! I just moved my Mastodon profile to the #InfosecExchange instance, so this seems like a good opportunity to renew my #introduction toot.

I've been quietly present on Mastodon since 2018. The #TwitterMigration renewed my interest (and hope!) in the #ActivityPub ecosystem. I've recognized a lot of familiar names on #InfosecExchange, so I'm very excited to be here!

I recently finished school—by the skin of my teeth, I'll now admit—and last month I started my first real job. My title is #PlatformEngineer, but I'm still figuring out what that means. I mostly poke things with a stick and write tickets about things that wobble. They seem to like it, so I'm pretty happy with the arrangement!

My biggest hobby is having strong opinions. Video games distract me from that, but I'm not very good at them, so I quickly return to the opinion-having. I also like collecting books that I never read, especially textbooks with lots of pages.
