I just moved my Mastodon profile to the <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/InfosecExchange" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>InfosecExchange</span></a> instance, so this seems like a good opportunity to renew my <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/introduction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>introduction</span></a> toot.</p><p>I've been quietly present on Mastodon since 2018. The <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/TwitterMigration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TwitterMigration</span></a> renewed my interest (and hope!) in the <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/ActivityPub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ActivityPub</span></a> ecosystem. I've recognized a lot of familiar names on <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/InfosecExchange" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>InfosecExchange</span></a>, so I'm very excited to be here!</p><p>I recently finished school—by the skin of my teeth, I'll now admit—and last month I started my first real job. My title is <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/PlatformEngineer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PlatformEngineer</span></a>, but I'm still figuring out what that means. I mostly poke things with a stick and write tickets about things that wobble. They seem to like it, so I'm pretty happy with the arrangement!</p><p>My biggest hobby is having strong opinions. Video games distract me from that, but I'm not very good at them, so I quickly return to the opinion-having. I also like collecting books that I never read, especially textbooks with lots of pages.</p>
