4/6. SC POV: Are you capable of killing a person?

Most of the SCs are not blood-thirsty monsters. Some of them are. A few teeter on the fence.

For example, Mueller the mercenary certainly is capable of killing and looking at killing both Amy and Diane. Diane sees this all too clearly. Things don’t go well for him.

boxd.itA ★★½ review of Death of a Unicorn (2025)I don’t think Death of a Unicorn is an awful film, but it is the most disappointing of 2025 thus far by a long shot. A horror comedy about a rampaging unicorn seeking murderous revenge against a bunch of rich assholes who killed its kid should be right up my alley, but the script for this film by writer-director Alex Scharfman plays things so safe than you can predict just about everything that’s coming. That’s not what you want in a film that seems to be aiming for subversiveness. Some of the cast is giving it their all; Will Poulter

Just finished watching 'THE BLACKENING' on the #Roku channel and it was FUN!! I think the horror/comedy genre is hard to get right, so I won't really fault it for being a better comedy than it was a horror movie. 🍻

4/5. What’s the most important thing about world-building for you?

It’s the US West in the 1840’s. World-building options are limited. It’s horror, so world-building is necessary. But only near the fringes of our conscious awareness.

What inspires me most are distinctive locations. Place is a character, putting some additional meaning on the action.
