There was still more that arrived.
More Glenmorangie - Speakeasy bottle Cask 6813, three The Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottlings: 125.4, 125.15, & 125.37, and then three sample bottles - Finealta, Signet, and the 18 year Extremely Rare.
There were also two from Ardbeg - 19 year Traigh Bahn #1 & #3.
I already had #4 - #2 is still in the UK with another auction house and #5 is with a friend in CT as it couldn't be shipped to MA. #6 I'm still on the hunt for. I've been picking these up at auction for well below MSRP.
I recently received many months worth of auction winnings that I'd been building up in storage. I'm glad I shipped them when I did, as now most of the auction houses have paused all shipments to the US while they figure out the tariff situation. I have other bottles still in the UK & EU and who knows when I'll be able to ship those - and if it'll cost me more now.
There was a bit of Compass Box - a Mariage Single Marrying Cask, an Eleuthera, The Peat Monster (second bottling I believe), The Peat Monster Reserve Edition magnum, the inaugural 2006 Flaming Heart release (the last one I was missing), Transistor, and The Promise Blend.
And then a bunch of Glenmorangie - three vintage releases from 1974, 1975, and 1979, The Culloden Bottle, 1990 Single Cask #5979 First-Fill Bourbon, 18 year White Rum finish, and Distillery Exclusive Cask 1784.

... dass Schottlands Brennereien eine Unmenge an Fässern benötigen, ist klar. Steht man jedoch vor einem solchen Lager, ist der Anblick doch recht verblüffend, um nicht zu sagen: fass-zinierend.

The former bonded warehouse for Red Hackle Whisky on Otago Street in Glasgow. Self-styled as 'Scotland's Best Whisky' Red Hackle was established in 1920 by Charles Hepburn and Herbert Ross, two former soldiers and it was named after the distinctive red feather worn by members of the Black Watch. You can just about still make out the words Red Hackle on the faded advertisement for the whisky on the building's gable end.
Nightfall at the Clydeside Distillery which occupies the old Queen's Dock Pump House on the northern bank of the Clyde just west of the Scottish Events Campus, which was built on land reclaimed by filling in the Queen's Dock itself.

Freitag - neue Ideen kreisen durch den Kopf, mit neuer Motivation geht es an die nächste Aufgabe. Eigentlich ein guter Tag, abgerundet mit ein wenig Kunst und Kultur.
Und dann schaut man in die Nachrichten und kann es nicht fassen. Dass #Trump ein Trampel ist, wusste ich. Dass es den USA nicht gut tut, von einem Haufen skrupelloser, überheblicher und in diplomatischen Dingen ahnungsloser Mistkerle geführt zu werden, wusste ich auch. Aber wie der selbsternannte König mit einem Präsidenten, der sein Land und seine ihm anvertrauten Menschen verteidigt, umgeht, ist an Dreistigkeit, Dummheit und purem Egoismus nicht zu überbieten. Selenskiy kann und will die Ukraine nicht an Trump verkaufen! Und Trump reagiert wie ein trotziges Kleinkind!
Ich hoffe, Europa kann diese diplomatische Katastrophe nutzen, um der Ukraine wirksam zu helfen und die USA auf ihren Platz in der zweiten Reihe zu verweisen. Und ich wünsche mir, das amerikanische Volk erkennt nun endlich, welche Gefahr sie in das Weiße Haus gewählt haben!
