No one else likes this picture as much as I do. An artifact from early days of opening up trade with China, this is stuffed toys that came in through the Port of Long Beach in 1982. We got Big Bird, some teddy bears, & an unidentified muppet in upper left (Gonzo? Grover?)

Yemen's Houthi government has indicated that of the sites US war planes bombed one was Cancer Center and another was the pharmacy wing of a major hospital.

Both obvious war crimes.

Striking these cites cause a tremendous civilian deaths while also depriving the community of important resources.

These strikes are likely in response to threats from the Houthis' to resume the full force of their shipping blockade of Israel.

Good that all but one crew is safe after this toxic tanker collision in the North Sea. The potential environmental damage is devastating.
Another question: what is a US flagged oil tanker carrying jet fuel for the US Air Force doing anchored off the East Yorkshire coast? Is this for the East Anglian US airbases?
