I’m a software designer, though I’m spending more and more time writing code, mostly in #swiftui and #react

When I'm not heads down at work, you'll catch me #cycling, eating my weight in oranges, walking with my #schnauzer named Xenon, or just getting lost in a new #book, #anime, or #manga.

I’m also a passionate #yugioh collector, #nba fan and I play #guitar occasionally.

My goals for this week:

- Roll credits on Donkey Kong Country: Returns HD. I enjoy this port of the game. Loved the game to bits back on the Wii but I forgot almost everything, so it's like a whole new thing again. I feel like I got better at collecting things though.

- Read two new volumes of Manga. I do not count the half volume of Rent-A-Girlfriend and Golden Kamuy I have left over from last week. I think I might takle my huge hardcover editions of Knights of Sidonia, finally.

- Watch 1 episode of an Anime. Probably will continue Go! Go! Loser Ranger.

My son has decided he wants to read #manga. I’m kind of stuck on where to start. Obviously he can pick something up at the library, but is there a series an 11 year old would like? He read a bunch of the Avatar and Legend of Korra graphic novels as well as some of the Steven Universe ones. Anything with lore is his jam.

(Ironically, this happens when I’ve been trying to get manga on my ereader for a trip.)
