There's a widely known issue with #Kodi, where sometimes the displayed part is only taking up 1/4th of a 4k screen.
I have the exact opposite problem, Kodi outputs 4k, but reports to the TV that it's 1080p, so the TV only shows a quarter of the actual output...
This is so weird...
And because it's tricky to reach the settings I need to change the resolution... Thankfully, the webinterface was enabled

I wish I could sync settings but mostly that is just the initial setup
Control it with any random bt remote or web or the Kore app.

Just found out I can stream videos from #Kodi (on the #RaspberryPi 4) to my #Android phone using the #Kore remote and #VLC (both on #FDroid). No need to turn the projector on to watch things from our local video library!
Love it when #FLOSS solutions work together flawlessly like this.

Kennt jemand das Multimediacenter #Kodi. Ich bastele damit gerade auf meinem #raspberrypi rum. Kann man damit eigentlich vernünftig streamen?
Ich möchte die datenfressenden Systeme verlassen. Ist ok, das Netflix und Kosorten sehen, was ich bei ihnen schaue, aber das muss Google (Chrome Cast) nicht wissen. Daher suche ich nach Alternativen. Hat jemand Tipps oder Vorschläge?

To my dismay, I had never heard about Kodi to this day. It seems to be in great use, but should always be used with a #VPN as copyright laws very from country to country and the (standard) global search function in conjunction with the ubiquitous add-ons will make source differentiation difficult.
What is fantastic is that it seems to run on most platforms:

Also very disappointed they did this. The user experience on #Kodi was way better than through their app.
They are trying to get everyone to use their app. Fine. But the least they can do is make it work properly and appropriately on an #Android box. Its all designed for phones so is super cumbersome for a TV UI.

I just realized my #RaspberryPi2 and #RaspberryPi3B are 10 and 7 years old.
No wonder they were struggling haha. Time to find new uses for them. Thinking one will continue as #Kodi box just for the #RV I just want to find an elegant way to add it to the #TV. For the other I've tried it as a #HomeAssistant server but, I am thinking it is time to try and set up a #NAS. Wish me luck!
Just got a #FireStick for our #LG #TV because it is about 8 years old and #WebOS getting sluggish on it #PriveLiveNHL was 1 frame per second 
Nice thing about the new stick is installing #APKs. I installed #Kodi on it and #NewPipe bye #YouTube #ads. The stick was cheaper than updating from the #RaspberryPi3 that was running #Libreelec but couldn't keep up to the Kodi #addons
Gibt es eigentlich so etwas Ähnliches wie einen #FireTV Stick nur ohne Anbieterzwang und als #OpenSource Lösung. Der Gedanke ist der, dass ein dort installiertes #Jellyfin den Dienst verrichten soll und vielleicht noch die eine oder andere Mediathek. Mehr nicht.
Für so etwas braucht man ja nicht unbedingt einen #RasüberryPi mit #Kodi oder #Libreelec.

Pues ya he solucionado el problema para ver vídeos recientes de #RTVEPlay con el AddOn en #Kodi.
No era cuestión de formato del vídeo, sino de #DRM.
He ido al git del Add On y había una conversación que me ha dado la pista:

Ahí se solucionaba instalando Widevine CDM.
Éste viene incluido en el AddOn InputStream Helper.

Hurgando por mi instalación veo que lo tengo y al ir a la configuración tiene una opción de reinstalar Widevine CDM. Le he dado y ya veo todos los vídeos. Al menos los que no podía ver el otro día.
Imagino que el Widevine CDM que yo tenía instalado era más antiguo y al forzar la reinstalación ha cargado uno más nuevo.
