Sergio Martino's stylish Giallo holds up surprisingly well even if Olivieri's sweaters do not. Seriously, his sweaters are almost as thick as his sideburns. It has Edwige Fenege, then again there isn't a 70s horror movie that Edwige Fenege isn't in. That's not a complaint. Far from it. The story takes a while to develop and if you're familiar with the Poe story the movie's based on you'll figure everything out. You'll probably figure everything out even if you're not familiar.
