Personally I believe the @europarl_en & @EUCommission could do that and establish as well as enforce an #EC #norm, just as they did with #USBc, #CCS2 and #GDPR!

It's just lack of political #pressure and #will to actually deal with the #AntiCompetitive-ness of #GAFAMs and given #Microsoft got forced into the #BrowserChoice setup in #WindowsXP & #Windows7, I demand the same for #iOS, #macOS and #Windows11 to include not only #Firefox & #Chrome but also #TorBrowser!

#Android needs to be better as in being more than just the "lesser evil" compared to iOS!

@leyrer this actually makes sense, tho I've only seen #Neutrik-Connectors for #USBc, which are basically an #XLR-plug's exterior casing and retention mechanism with said connector i the middle!

Woke up, prepared a #mate and went to my temporary #lab. And passed the last 10 minutes staring at this huge #mess trying to decide if clean it up, burning precious time, or start working on something anyway

Also, I miss a lot of instruments here, I never took out the #bench #powersupply and I'm using an #usbc negotiator to have some voltages... ugly.
I'd really like to have a real #bench where I can leave all the things mounted, connected and organized.

Hello Linux friends. Is there any way to use my computer to test USB-C cables?

I want to plug both ends of a cable into two different USB ports on my laptop.

I want to see the emarkers, resistors, and any other data about the cable. Maybe even run a speed test?

Is there a Linux utility which will do that?

(Yes, I know I can get external dongles. I want to do it locally without buying more stuff.)
