The electrical grid is still struggling. I heard the UPS beep a couple of times just now, and the stove fan even stopped at those instants. (Oven is on, so the fan is on.)
Interestingly, the display panel is still on and the clock didn't reset.

I used to think that Ford's 600 billion dollar tunnel under the #401 was crazy (or whatever crazy amount it was).
But, now I am thinking maybe it is good that #Ontario wants to set that kind of money aside - hear me out.
Do it still, but make it a smaller tunnel. Make it the high speed rail corridor.
Put an east end station out near Oshawa or Ajax to pick up the GO train as the S-Bahn.
Put a west station right at Pearson and the UP express (and make the UP express as part of the S-Bahn).
Put a central station at Young to directly pick up the subway / U-bahn.
Maybe drill another two tunnels under the 401 for the S-bahn if we have money left over.

One pretty snowy day...this is in a nearby park and is the oldest house in Scarborough. It was built in the late 1700s, but there are questions about who actually built it and why. It has been given historical status and is a picturesque part of the park.

Having a hard time believing the wind is only gusting at 35km/h
Debris is flying around everywhere, trees are whipping and bending. This storm that's about to hit us doesn't seem like a joke... maybe they'll let us go home early? eehhh?... LOL nah...
EDIT: Our outdoor office decor is FLYING through the parking lot. We're scrambling around bringing the plants and signs inside. Not a single drop of rain or snow yet.

Mr Baber was born in the USSR & immigrated to #Canada as a teen. Today he spends much time flying flags to raise support & money for Israel, alongside deputy leader MP Melissa Lantsman.

Mr. Paterson is a member of the evangelical Third Day Worship Centre and has come under scrutiny for discussing his desire to "raise up an army for God". However, Paterson now says he has stepped away from that congregation after his pastor was recorded called homosexuality an ‘abomination.’

Big thank you to hard working Hydro crews, as well as to Arborists and Volunteers helping to remove downed trees and debris.
There is still plenty of work to go - I know folks that are really rural and probably won't get power until next week! - and there's the possibility of another #IceStorm on Wednesday.
