The sweeping generalizations never seem to get interrogated, like Pierre saying he’ll get rid of “woke” and yet what is happening before our eyes down south won’t happen here cuz it’s hyperbole right? It’s an interesting aspect of so called “strong-men” that they universally seem to like the fucking sledgehammer. A+B=C over and over and over because people and societies are complex and we are string through with nuance, and our existences are multi-faceted but there is none of that in men obsessed with power and unparalleled confidence in their tiny little belief systems. Over 80+ Independents have grossly expanded the candidate list in Conservative leader #Poilievre's Carleton riding, in hopes that voters won't recognize Liberal Bruce Fanjoy's name on the ballot.
At least 16 of these "long ballot" candidates listed in #Ottawa Carleton also ran in #Toronto-St.Paul's, which caused that longtime Liberal riding to change to Conservative.
Bruce Fanjoy has also had 300++ signs stolen or defaced.
"Majority governments aren’t always a good idea, but for this 2025 Federal election it’s an absolute necessity for our economy, our sovereignty, and our democracy.
Anything less and Pierre Poilieve will continue to disrupt parliament and slow down the progress dealing with Trump tariffs."
On the other hand, if everyone in #Ottawa Carleton were to come together and vote for Bruce Fanjoy we might not have to listen to Mr #Poilievre in the House of Commons again.

I drove all the way backroads to Kingston last weekend to buy a bike, and it’s mostly blue signs and big flags, oh and a big ol’ truck flying a Trump flag. Ever since the convoy, my own resolve to fly a flag basically evaporated, and I find it such a weird cultural clusterfuck we find ourselves in. I do find it funny that the convoy folks are mad that everyone is flying flags right now tho, but if you fly one from your vehicle? Do not trust you #canada #cdnpoli #ottawa #onpoli
I have such a weird relationship with nationalistic pride and the flag. I grew up in the Ottawa valley in what is a catholic cult, was home schooled, spent 4 yrs in the #usa from grade 7-10, and was a fucked, drunk teenager more interested in trying different kinds of drugs than paying attention to the world around me. When I left for Europe in 2005, it was in the wake of the Iraq war and the only people overseas with Canadian flags were Americans #ottawa

Mr. Poilievre has been under a mandatory permanent Compliance Agreement with the Commissioner of Canadian Elections and Elections Canada since 2017, after committing election campaign finance violations in 2015.

Partly due to the end of the consumer carbon tax, partly due to a 30% decline in the price of oil over the past year. And more is coming.
But I don't really need inflation adjusted gas prices to be 46% lower than in 2008, I need clean air, healthcare and education for my children.
