I’ve been staring at muddy water spots on the bottom of my office door for days now. I really should grab something to wipe them off. A detective conducting a splash analysis would probably conclude that one of my dogs came in from outside, wandered over to my office, and did that signature shaky, splashy thing that wet dogs do. The spots are pretty low on the door, so my money’s on Ben. That’s a solid guess, considering Ben usually makes his presence known by shaking and producing the unmistakable flapping sound of his long ears. Oh well, living with dogs requires patience and the occasional cleanup on aisle seven. Speaking of dogs, Charlie just strolled in to remind me that mealtime is right around the corner.

Went to the beach.

Who is almost 90lbs (but is 'carrying his weight well'), and getting tested for thyroid function and has one infected ear now on the mend, and didn't snarl at anyone at the veterinarian's today or panic and is a very very good boy???

Wish people would keep their dogs on a leash on trailways, pathways (people bike on these) and in parks where people are known to have children around.
