T just fell off the perch (while objecting to G hogging all of the treat bar)

He did a 360°spin and didn't quite manage to finish the 2nd one

Apparently, it's all my fault. Luckily, he is telling me off in budgie talk... because I suspect in human talk, the language may be a bit blue

Both are healthy, weighing in at around 38g

We're home, and they are now exploring their cage, eating treats, and listening to music

I wonder how long it will take them to forgive me this time?

PSA for openSUSE Tumbleweed Budgie

For anybody using Budgie on openSUSE Tumbleweed, please do not update your systems! The unfinished Budgie Wayland session, prerelease Magpie v1, and other related deps have begun landing in openSUSE Tumbleweed repos.

A lot of this is packaged from Git master and is not ready for end-users yet. No distro should be shipping any of this yet, outside of development or nightly editions or branches.

Just updated a laptop and saw a very broken Budgie before my very eyes (see photo). SDDM also kept crashing every next boot afterwards until after all Budgie packages were purged.

Version 2.0 of "Black Sun" icon theme is out. It's aimed for better KDE experience with 16-22px monochrome icons. Also the huge work on the mimetype icons front has begone (work in progess).

Guys, I like #gnome
Gnome is very consistent in its design language—most applications follow it and look like they belong to a unified system rather than a mismatched collection. Workplace organization is perfect.
The only thing I can't understand is why GNOME developers are so stubborn about out-of-the-box support for the system tray.

I found one feather lice bug on Chester's wing. Squished it and looked for more but didn't see any. Guess I'm calling the vet to get an appointment scheduled earlier than anticipated. :(

Will be checking his feathers like mad and cleaning his house + area to keep it from getting worse.

Luckily lice is like one of the easier less scary things I've had to deal with for #budgie issues.
