Primeval

An ominous sky heavy with storm clouds looms, as birds drift in the distance above a solitary treetop reaching toward the heavens.

I don’t upload all the photos I share here to my Pixels gallery. I only post my personal favorites, while some don’t make the cut. I usually give myself a couple of days to decide how I feel about them before uploading.

One of the pair of Pied Currawongs that get sultanas from the back veranda.

The female King Parrot, stopping by to see if I've put seed out (I had).

Walking on Liquid Mirrors

The tidal pools on the beach in Gulfport, Mississippi last year provided a stunning backdrop for observing birds and capturing their reflections. The tranquil pools also created captivating ripples in the water, adding to the scene's visual charm. Among these natural wonders stood the snowy egret (Egretta thula), an elegant white bird whose graceful presence enhanced the beauty of the moment.
