I still find it hard to believe that the projections from 338canada (and others) will hold on the Island.

I realize electoral outcomes can and do shift over long periods, but I refuse to believe that, for example, people on the North Island and Powell River will elect this racist fool, Aaron Gunn. He has had that distinction for years because of his consistent denial of residential school genocide.

338 has the CPC a full 10 points above its 2021 outcome, and the NDP 13 below. It beggars belief. The Liberals are not viable here and I have more faith in the electorate than the numbers show.

WE REASONABLE PEOPLE NEED TO MAKE SURE THESE RACIST CANDIDATES DON’T SUCCEED.

VOTE!

How many hours of #sleep do you need a night?

I need at *least* 7. When I have the opportunity (like over the weekends), I ideally like 9 or more, but if I get fewer than 7, I'm a zombie. I can't focus on anything, I can't think, and towards the end of the day I'm even slurring my words, almost as if I'm drunk.

Thankfully, I've never had a problem falling asleep. Touch wood, insomnia isn't a thing I've ever had to worry about. I can sleep anywhere, anytime, anyhow, in any position. I just put my head back, close my eyes, and I'm out like a light (only when I choose to; I don't have narcolepsy or anything).

I tell people that's because I have a clear conscience. Which is half a joke: while I'm sure there is some truth to it, I don't mean to imply that anyone who has trouble falling asleep when they want to DOESN'T. 😜

But I digress. As I said, how many hours of sleep do you need a night? #polls

Pick the last Federal election(s) in Canada where the winning party received 50% or better of the popular vote?

Why do I ask? An Ekos poll that polled people on March 23 had sentiment at: LPC 50% CPC 35% NDP 7% Bloc 4% GPC 2%

Anyone out there qualified to answer this question?

Why is there no margin-of-error in the results from reputable online polling?

This is so common for political polls now, yet it seems they are automatically not as reliable as traditional telephone polling. Or is my conclusion wrong/misguided.

If anyone is a statistician or polling expert out there, I'd love to know!

One way that citizens are manipulated is through repeatedly publishing #polls that show a decisive win for one side or the other.

Polls that show a decisive victory for your preferred #leader or #party can get people thinking that they don't need to #vote -- because there are enough voters to assure victory.

Alternately, polls can discourage voters by convincing them the other party is assured victory.

IGNORE POLLS. PLAN TO VOTE, THEN VOTE!

Do you want to be notified every time a poll you've voted on ends? I kinda like it, but I know of a few people who wish they could turn it off (at least on a per-poll basis)... some of whom dislike it so much that it's the reason they very seldom vote on polls. :/
