some recent highlights for #FungiFriday
(posted from mobile since on the road, hopefully resolution is decent)
To live a fast-paced urban life and to unplug and weave the two together, to try and establish balance is an artform that meets me in my photography. I cherish the opportunity to share my little moments with you.
Squirrels stole the show at the UW cherry blossom display as playfully zigzagged in the trees while I was visiting the other day.

I feel people only like me for my moss. ;)
I do post a lot of moss though... I like moss.
The Seek app has failed me in this nature identification task. It seems to be convinced that this could be broom forkmoss, when it is most clearly a Tribble.
A little post to encourage people on Mosstodon to add image descriptions to their picture posts! It can be a little tideous at first, but it become easier and easier the more you do it! A lot of people here won't boost your posts if there's no image description. Please think of the blind & visually impared community! They too would love to enjoy moss! Thank you for reading me :) and thank you to people who already do it, and who will start to do it after reading me! Happy thursday!
I mean, it's not the most beautiful picture, taken on my dinner table. But it does show the lights pretty well! I think they look a lot like a selection of luxury chocolates displayed next to each other like this.
Currently working on the next batch for a customer, though two of these are still in my shop! (https://levendlichtje.etsy.com)
I'm also working on a bigger light and trying to find something easy and quick for a kit... busy times!
And some lichen on moss.
I wouldn't mind seeing a flower though. But afraid that has to wait till next week.
The trees have ears. I think they're Wood Ears? But not sure, since I got to them when they became dried and leathery. I gently flicked them, just to annoy whoever's ears they belong to.
For #WaterfallWednesday I have this photo taken last week when I was mentoring the 16 year old student from Surrey. This creek is completely dry in the summer. The best time to photograph it is now. It is located in a place known as Xwee Xwhya Luq by the K'ómoks people, in what is called today Courtenay.
Some nice mosses and lichens I saw yesterday
