In my attempts to not use Amazon I tried ordering these plastic toothpicks, Opalpix, from a random website which had them at a good price.
The form required that I give them my dentists name. Which seemed silly, and I'm not going to do that.
When I emailed support asking why, it turns out that since some of the items on their website require this, they make no distinction and require it for all product they sell.
This is why Amazon keeps winning.
I just learned that The Movie DB isn't owned by a billionaire tech bro, unlike The Internet Movie Db which is part of Amazon
So I'll be making a best effort to use that going forward
Are there any browser plug-ins that will let you find a product on amazon and display other places where you can purchase that product?
