Should take about 10 minutes for most of you to blast your way through, nothing too complicated, just some standard tekbase/industrial/hellish landscapes with a nice big fight at the end. "

#DOOM 2016 vs Doom Eternal is interesting to look back on. I almost don't like Eternal after playing the DLCs, the story and gameplay really shit the bed hardcore but the base game is good just overcomplicated.

It really does look a LOT better than Doom 2016 despite me really enjoying it. 2016 still plays better, for the most part. Hope Dark Ages don't have 20 cooldown-having, swappable, unique-button-requiring Side Weapons again. I wonder how many players just don't use those at all.

I took the challenge and just built #Zandronum, the multiplayer-focused ZDoom fork, from source. The instructions they provide were on the spot and the process was actually simple. However, not exactly a lightweight thing; `make` took 5m31s to finish using all four cores of this 2018 CPU.

But mission accomplished - no more having to look for "repositories" or prebuilt binaries just to play a game. Now let's get some mods and start the fragging!
