Baigėsi mano pažintis su #Linux

#ZorinOS feilino nežmoniškai, #MintCinamon irgi nepaėjo ir ta pati bėda buvo su #ChromeOS - nesijungia prie WiFi nors tu ką. Maždaug savaitė intensyvios paieškos kaip padaryt, kad veiktų. Po to gal porą savaičių ar dauagiau tik protarpiais dar paieškant.

Grįžau prie #Windows - viskas veikia be jokių problemų po pirmo užkrovimo

Dar man bandė pasakot, kad neveikia, nes aš pats nenoriu, kad Linux veiktų... Šviesmečiai skiria šitas OS, o ne nenoras

It’s a tiny detail, but I really appreciate how ChromeOS handles SSH connections. Persistent saved hosts, quick reconnects, and seamless integration make it effortless. No fiddling with ~/.ssh/config or third-party apps—just simple and reliable remote access. Could Linux distros could learn a thing or two from this? #ChromeOS #SSH #Linux

Mein Bruder fragte kürzlich nach meiner Meinung zu #ChromeOs. Meine Versuche mit dem OS waren eher ernüchternd. Ontop, dass alles in der Google Cloud liegt, Abhängigkeit usw.
faktisch hat er bei nem Bekannten ein Chrombook gesehen, dass ihm total gut gefällt. Den Zeitaufwand hätte ich mir schenken können…
Wie ich in einer solchen Familie von Nicht-Nerds so nerdig werden konnte, wird ein Rätsel bleiben…

I am writing these posts from my cheap ARM Chromebook (stock os) and I must say I've found the experience surprisingly good tbh.

"Surprisingly good" is actually a very high praise for a device that I considered filled to the brim with both spyware and bloatware.

The Android integration is half decent and it has QuickShare.

The main use this device gets is a glorified PFD/Blogpost/Wikipedia reader for bed moments.
