The square houses historic buildings such as the Historical Archive of São Paulo and the Military Police Barracks. This multicultural region includes Greeks, Italians, a Jewish community, Koreans, Arabs and Bolivians . Painting being executed, was accompanied by a Bolivian dance group.

We had already walked miles in the state park & needed to rest our feet. Thankfully, there are benches throughout the park for tram stops. We weren't ready for the tram; we only wanted to sit & have some water.
What a perfect place for a break, as many Orange-crowned Warblers were zipping around the surrounding trees.
