#Starmer decides to use #Trump induced #tariff chaos as an excuse to row back on EV targets for 2030 and slash planning regs (aka environmental protections) while his ministers claim they’ve unearthed A #Brexit bonus - we’re still being kicked in the nuts, but not poked in the eye at the same time like the EU.

My hopes were low, but they’ve just gone through the floor

@ChrisMayLA6

Starmer has effectively silenced the Left in terms of reversing the damage of #Brexit for years now. He has wanted us all to assume it’s done and dusted, put to bed and now we have to lie in that cold lonely bed.

But, despite it all, we still do more trade with the EU as our closest neighbours than we do with the US.

#Starmer needs to get his arse off the fence and re-embrace the EU. A US trade deal will be toxic on all levels.

@jeffjarvis I have many American friends, from the time I lived and worked in Boston. But today America should hang its head in shame. Either that, or stand up and insist the carrot head be removed from office. This is #Brexit but in a far larger scale. The greatest act of self-harm the world has ever seen.

My book Flipping Patriarchy, by @manwhohasitall just arrived! I got a letter from DHL about a package of mine in the customs, but I had no idea what it could be. When I saw that it was coming from Bristol, UK, I guessed that it was the book I supported two years ago.

It took me some time to understand that I had to send the receipt, after saying was just a book. But it worked out in the end. Thank you, Brexiters, for making it harder to buy a book made in the UK!

My little #EU flag. It still makes me very sad that, despite being #European from birth, that identity was taken away from me. My sense of belonging hasn't diminished though. I still have hope that stupid #brexit will be reversed one day.
