Toni Braxton’s “Breathe Again” has been called “delicate,” “yearning,” “melancholy,” “pretty,” and “haunting.” The song does sound like all those things, which I guess could make it hard to pick up on its underlying themes of obsessiveness and emotional blackmail.

Say whatever you want to say, but for me, peak #DiabloSwingOrchestra was Pandora's Piñata.

The production is remarkable. Guitars and bass are tight, great vocals, great strings and production overall. Drums are 11/10.

Pacifisticuffs was a so-so album, and the next one had so an attrocious mixing that I believe it killed any hype for the band. I twas so bad I HAD to write about it.

45 years ago today, (Week Ending) March 29, 1980, Bette Midler debuted on the Billboard AC chart at #47 with "The Rose". She went on to spend five weeks at #1. Also, leaped up ten notches to #76 on the Hot 100 and eventually peaked at #3 for three weeks there.

I’ve collected many 45RPM singles over many years, but this is one from my mom's collection that I inherited.
