UPDATE on the #SanCarlos airport air traffic controller walkout: The #FAA has relented and decided to extend the existing contract with Serco 60 more days under the present terms, instead of handing it off to the the new contractors, Robinson Aviation, which will pay out less to the controllers.
This deal was announced ONE DAY before the ATC staff walkout, which means San Carlos tower will be staffed for at least another two months.
