Let's start with some of the *really* old stuff… Rinoa was the favourite of my best friend at the time, so she became the first FF character I drew.
Apologies for the quality… I drew this in a free copy of Photoshop 6 in 2003 when I was 15. X)

No but seriously, if they ever remake FF VIII, I hope they keep Angelo Cannon with modern graphics and zero attempt to make it make sense beyond "yes, Rinoa's arm muscles are just special this way".

It's the 26th anniversary of Final Fantasy VIII, and there are still so many things to love about this game, because it has everything:
An immersive story, complex characters, great soundtrack, beautiful visuals, a romance that takes the "closed-up introvert with social anxiety who pushes people away, but eventually lowers his guard and lets someone in because she gets through to him" trope and makes it work in a really sweet way that serves the plot, and above all, a cute and otherwise perfectly normal dog who comes to assist you in battle with an attack that allows you to shoot her at your enemies like a cannon. A PS1 classic.
