I haven't been watching the Giants' #SpringTraining games because of the recent changes in the NBC Sports Network deal with the #MLB which has made access more expensive & was surprised to see that the Giants' Spring Training record is 18-6 (.750) with 4 games to play!!!

But, of course, the Giants are already 2 games behind the #Dodgers who already have a 2-0 #RegularSeason record after winning 2 games in Japan vs the #Cubs.

The Giants open the regular season in a 3 games series away in Cleveland vs the #Guardians on 03/27.

It was science night at the hut this evening, for the Cubs.

We created a compass using magnets and pins and mixed vinegar and bicarbonate of soda to inflate balloons.

We also got them checking their resting heart rate and then again after exercise.

We finished the evening with a camp fire song; for no other reason than we had 5 minutes spare.

I have to admit I wasn’t in the mood for the meeting; I’m just so tired, but once there I soon got into the swing of things. Volunteering in Scouting is good for mental health and good for the soul.

Tonight our #Cubs had a visitor from the local Disability Sports Charity & they ran through some related mini games before teaching our Pack about Boccia, a ball sport similar to bocce, bowls & pétanque and developed for play by people with physical disabilities.

I asked them about what being healthy meant. To end the night, in their Sixes, they drew around one of their number and then drew & labelled the body parts from the list they were given.
