Good morning from Tokyo! Slightly overcast but rather warm on this Thursday. Here is a small set of neighborhood views that I saw in Itabashi ward yesterday evening when I came back from work.
Have a nice day!

Good morning from Japan! As on most Wednesdays, I am working at the office today. Weather is great, so I walked past the Marunouchi side of Tokyo Station to record this short video.
The next chapter of the cherry blossom will be the Okamezakura. And one of the best places in Tokyo to see them, imho is Nihonbashi.
Here's some shots on my blog from there, back in 2024.

#Tokyo 's East Gardens are a beautifully laid out piece of land with a small pond, manicured lawns, impressive massive stone walls and guard houses near the Imperial Palace. How did you like it? https://backpackandsnorkel.com/Japan
Happy Monday from Tokyo! May the new week bring you more good vibes and fewer tariffs than the previous one.
One more place I went to yesterday after the drumming lesson was Kyū-Furukawa Gardens in Nishigahara.
Some wonderful light around Toranomon yesterday afternoon. It's been amazing to watch that area change over the past 15 years.
Paradise for someone like me, who loves architecture and photographing the shapes, patterns, textures and reflections.
After the drumming lesson, a delightful lunch at “cafe chocotto” in Komagome, Tokyo, followed by a short stroll through the decidedly retro-style Shimofuri Shopping Street.
A short clip from my first regular drumming lesson today. The teacher cranked up the difficulty level - among others, I tried to play along to a song by Japanese singer Shiina Ringo. Having great fun with this new challenge.
Good morning from Tokyo! Hope y’all will enjoy your Sunday. I’ll have my first regular drumming lesson later, and then we’ll see what else the weather allows.
Here is some more #Bloomscrolling for you, this time of a nighttime variety from last night around my neighborhood in Itabashi Ward. Unedited iPhone photos.
Some #Bloomscrolling photos I took today in Tokyo before (Ikebukuro, frame 1) and after (Naka-Itabashi, frames 2-4) an acupuncture session. Bliss.
iPhone straight out of camera.
Alright, where are my Tokyo-local #JPop / #JRock fans???
I want to attend the yama concert on Friday the 25th and need a) people to go with, and b) help securing tickets without a Tokyo phone number or address of my own.
I would go see Ado that night if I could but I figure that's a tall order since it's her world-tour kickoff and already sold out long ago haha
Get home in comfort (and without the super-crush load).
#Tokyo area commuter trains operated by JR East now have First Class cars. On the Ome and Chuo lines.
Have a look inside:
