2. Nice bike ride with less interactions with drivers than Saturday.
3. Re-watched season 1 of Survival of the Thickest and it was even better a second time. (Season 2 is out now, looking forward to it!)

Hello there...every day that I use Mastodon, I like to list three things that I like as a contribution towards a positive online space, as well as my own headspace. If you did this today, what would feature on your list?

1. It’s a beautiful day. It’s warm out, and I’m so oblivious to the weather that I wore my winter jacket today because it snowed two days ago (it’s Canada)
2. Library, playground, and scooting with the mini Zilla today, combined with a good amount of shamisen practice.
3. I'm planning on trying out a new pool tomorrow! That doesn't sound significant, and is somewhat vague, damian - is there more to this story?
Ok, I'll tell you. I have two city pools that I alternate between based on their available schedules - one of them shut down March 31 for the next few months to do electrical repairs and upgrades. The remaining pool has no weekend times that fit my schedule leaving me with the only option to go on Friday mornings that don't conflict with getting the kid to school..... but when I woke up early Friday to try and go to that one, the pool had some issue and was closed temporarily.
This new facility isn't run by the city, and has lane swimming basically all day every day, and even when they have "aqua fit classes" or other things going on, they still keep lanes open to others (the city pools would take over all lanes when that happened). So, pretty exciting for me - I love swimming, and can stay underwater for hours when I go.....I also HATE gyms, and will never go to any sort of regimented mechanical weight dungeon if left to my own devices. Will see how it goes tomorrow, but here's hoping I've found a terrific upgrade to my current pools and exercise schedule!
Today’s 3 good things:
- made good progress on my taxes and bookkeeping. Every year I tell myself I won’t wait until the last minute to do my bookkeeping, only to scramble every April before taxes are due. But, as always, next year is another chance!
- seeing so many people support and attend the #HandsOff protests inspired me and warmed my heart.
- watched #StarshipTroopers for the first time. Not bad, sufficiently entertaining.
Maybe my best #Wingspan game ever. I managed to get two bonus cards and hit the maximum... manage to put down 13 birds... and got all end of round bonuses...
#3goodthings ... too bad I won't have another final score like this in the #boardgame ever again.

1. Mass protests, which must get bigger every time, and that means increased risk every time.
2. Boycotts, which have to be re-publicized and re-justified every week, and can't be just one day or one week as a "message." They need to reduce corporate wealth.
3. Legal actions, strikes, and other unusual means of reducing corporate sharing of societal favor and wealth.
And just FYI, I completely understand that these are not a full list of tactics, support techniques, helpful tips and need fulfillment.
Stevie Ray Vaughn knows it : "never safe from the truth but in the truth we can survive / when this wall of denial comes tumbling down"
Sade knows it : "trying my hardest / doing my best / to stay alive / I'm a soldier of love"
Supertramp knows it : "Forget the pain / I know you'll make it / if you try again / there's no use in quitting / when the world is waiting for you"
- Hanging out with my sister for a few days.
- Jambalaya, Alaskan style, with reindeer sausage, salmon, and shrimp.
- Magpies! They like it up here in Anchorage but avoid where I live. So I get to enjoy their flashy-flash for a bit. Oh, yes, can't forget the ravens. I love seeing their beautiful faces around too.
#3GoodThings for today:
1. Hearing the spousal unit sing in the shower in the morning, which he hasn't done in a while because stress.
2. Went for a walk after dinner and it wasn't as cold as I'd expected.
3. The bright yellow crocus flower buds in the front yard. So cute! Can't wait to see them bloom.
