"Individually, the reports say little that isn’t already in the news or on social media; but taken as a whole, they depict a government hysteria about the attacks on Tesla, described less like petty crime than some kind of violent insurgency. The entire alerting process, in fact, feels like a government-fueled contagion, a set of reports that create the vague impression of an assault on the American way of life.

What is most glaring about the reports in the immediate sense is that President Trump’s March 21 declaration that violence against Tesla is “terrorism” isn’t being echoed by law enforcement or the national intelligence community. Not yet.

A Joint Intelligence Bulletin produced by the FBI and Department of Homeland Security on March 21 (“Individuals Target Tesla Vehicles and Dealerships Nationwide With Arson, Gunfire and Vandalism”) reveals a sweeping effort by both agencies to “investigate,” “deter” and “disrupt” what it calls “nationwide incidents targeting Tesla electric vehicles” and equipment. But it never once mentions the word ‘terrorism’ to describe the spate of attacks on Tesla vehicles that started in January. (This despite the report being produced by the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division.) Instead, the assessment uses a different word: “vandalism.”"

Canadians Turn on Tesla, and It Becomes Physical

More than 80 Teslas were damaged in Hamilton, Ontario, the police said, amid other acts of #vandalism against the company owned by #ElonMusk.

"Elon Musk has said that “Canada is not a real country,” just one of his social media jabs at the #US neighbor.

But people in #Canada have done real damage to the vehicles and dealerships belonging to his electric car company, #Tesla"

Teslas hit with "Kraft cheese singles" was not on my #teslatakedown bingo card. Makes sense, though, because they stick to absolutely everything, are easy to cut into the shape of a swastika, and will pass as "food" if you are stopped by police.

Today in Labor History March 11, 1811: Luddites attacked looms near Nottingham, England, because automation was threatening their jobs. At the time, workers were suffering from high unemployment, declining wages, an “endless” war with France and food scarcity. On March 11, they smashed machines in Nottingham and demonstrated for job security and higher wages. The protests and property destruction spread across a 70-mile area of England, reaching Manchester. The government sent troops to protect the factories and made machine-breaking punishable by death.

Bizzare #vandalism - someone has taken the effort to climb a light column on #pedestrian refuge in middle of the village and obscure keep left #sign with grey paint (they have also done the same to smaller sign on the #bollard, can't be seen in photo due to darkness). Seems more sociopathic than normal #graffiti (maybe someone pissed off the refuge is there in first place, it discourages speeding through the village, or angry that the local Speedwatch have put up a camera nearby?) #Suffolk

Of course, after the presentation against X at #NPA144, some fans of the disinformation platform decided to vandalize the front light of my bike.

P.S. It's a joke, my bike was far from the venue, near a metro station. On the bright side, I discovered yesterday that the light was broken. Now I'm forced to fix it tomorrow because the circuit was damaged and the rear light doesn't work anymore as well.
