I sent three emails to #SubPop insisting they need to sign #HaleyHeynderickx. Haley is on a regional Portland label, which is cool, but limited in what they can do for her. If SubPop was willing to sign #NaimaBock then it makes no sense why they should overlook Haley Heynderickx who has already put out 2 albums, 2 EPs, and another album with another artist (I can't remember his name, but it was a good album). Meanwhile Bock came out strong with a solid first album, some good singles not on the album and then a horrible second album. Just really bad. Yes, there are interesting elements to Bock's second album, but they do not make up for the vanity project and she lost her original band that supported her great live shows during her first album tour. Here is Haley Heynderickx just perfect, made for this, already very accomplished considering just how indie she is. I guess SubPop likes leaving money sitting on the table.
