Whooping cough (pertussis) cases have skyrocketed by more than 1,500% nationwide since 2021.
Deaths tied to the disease are also up — hitting 10 last year, compared with about two to four in previous years — and cases are on track to exceed that total in 2025.

There’s something rich about Dr Oz claiming it’s an American’s “patriotic duty” to stay healthy when he’s in an administration actively trying to cut healthcare, abortion access, vaccines & public health (not to mention banning masks).
America is one of the only developed nations that doesn’t have universal healthcare. They refuse to acknowledge it as a basic human right. Surely that is also “unpatriotic”?

2 days after the lab's scientists received their reduction in force emails, #HHS Secy #RFKJr acknowledged that ~⅕ of the cuts at HHS were made *unintentionally* & some people would be offered their jobs back.
On April 4, the Assn of #PublicHealth Laboratories sent a letter to RFKJr urging HHS to reinstate all personnel in the Division of #Viral #Hepatitis & at the Division of #STD Prevention, another lab at the #CDC that was shuttered.
But on April 1, the #outbreak investigation was brought to a halt. All 27 of the lab's scientists received an email from the #HHS informing them that they were losing their #jobs. Like thousands of other employees who received similar emails that day, the scientists were told they would be placed on administrative leave until June 2, after which they would no longer work for the #CDC.

After watching Robert F. "Reading this piece, two things immediately sprung to mind. First, I wouldn’t let Robert F. Kennedy Jr within ten feet of any child whatsoever if I had the ability to prevent it.
