'Nicht alle Tassen im Schrank'

...habe das Foto hier schon einmal gepostet, aber nun passt es so gut zum Tagesmotto, also bitte verzeiht den erneuten Post .
Das Motiv hatte ich vor einigen Jahren in #Ditzum entdeckt und kann über den Anlass dafür nur rätseln. Als Brauch in #Ostfriesland ist es mir nicht bekannt, vielleicht eine Besonderheit im #Rheiderland.

This is the ‘House of guests’ (Haus des Gastes). It stands on the beach at Norddeich. The building is blue in colour and matches the cloudless sky perfectly. It is a flat building with windows, some of which have green, blue or yellow frames. A blue bridge in front of the house leads to a viewing platform that looks like a tower. A spiral staircase leads up to it. Another part of the building is rounded and also has windows.

In front of me is a path made of light-coloured wooden planks. It leads straight ahead, after a few metres it goes up a little, because it leads over a dune. To the left and right of the path is yellow, dry, ‘long-haired’ grass. At the highest point of the path is a platform. A person in a thick, black jacket is standing there, opposite them a person in a red jacket and yellow cap is sitting on a bench. It is a very sunny day, but also very cold. Behind the dune is the sea, but there's no photo of that today ;)

Jakob Pfluger wurde 1914 in Loppersum #ostfriesland geboren.

Aus Arbeitsmangel wurde der gelernte Zimmerer / Maurer 1933 entlassen und fand wegen der Wirtschaftskrise keine Anstellung mehr. Er lebte weiterhin bei seiner Mutter, die seit dem 1. Weltkrieg verwitwet war.

Als sogenannter Arbeitsscheuer /Asozialer wurde er im Juni 1938 in Schutzhaft genommen.
Ohne Verfahren kam er ins KZ Buchenwald.

Jakob Pfluger starb am 27.12.1938. Todesursache lt. Pass: Blutvergiftung

Ein unglaublich schöner aber auch kalter Morgen, um zur Arbeit aufzubrechen. Auf der ersten Brücke die ich überquere, halte ich kurz inne und fahre das Fenster runter... so sieht es gerade jetzt hier aus

I'm a big fan of small worlds

I took these photos at Miniaturland #Leer last week. There, the entire region of #EastFrisia (as well as Ammerland and the German capital Berlin) is displayed on a scale of 1:87. The exhibition area covers more than 1,500 square metres. Buttons can be pressed at various points to provide entertainment. For example, a cruise ship moves towards a harbour and fireworks go off, or photographers snap a group of cyclists taking part in a race. And yes, there are also some ‘naughty’ movements in the undergrowth.
The #Ostfriesland hall is illuminated in green, which makes this region look even more inviting
