🧶🧶🧶 #WIP - The Harris Hood, three strands held together, featuring my fave stitch markers - a cherry blossom and a bird from #PrettyWarmDesigns, maker of marvelous sundry items.

Pink yarn is a cashmere blend in Pink Flower from #Temu (when I tried them out, pero no más), two strands variegated Rowan Fine Art in 301 Serin, a wool mohair silk polyamide blend.

🧶🧶🧶 I like to follow certain sectors to stay current on color trends, and that includes nail polish. This is the OPI'm Dreamin' Spring 2025 collection. The polishes have a subtle shimmer to them, giving them an airy feel.

Expect to see these shades in places like makeup, textiles, and yes, yarns, especially from quick turn-around indie dyers who follow such things.

All charted, it's a surprisingly easy pattern to follow. Also offers long narrow version in two sizes.

Trying for one chart done daily. There are six, A through F. This is one of those times when it's helpful to have several WIPs going at once - I can switch back and forth.

🧶🧶🧶 New #WIP! This one is a triangular kerchief for a medical aide here, Marietta, who has been very helpful with me and my recovery.

Pattern is the Ivy Scarf, yarn is Classic Elite Giselle in the color Cloud, US4 ChiaoGoo needles. It's weightless, and except for the tinking back and frogging experience, a delight to knit with!

🧶🧶🧶 Ye Olde Stack 'O Swatches. Amazing how each one holds a memory. And, can see how my swatching in particular and knitting in general have improved.

Reflecting - This art/craft of ours is blessedly diverse. Some days I want to knit all the things. Other days it's sorting scraps, a match for the spoons I have.

🧶🧶🧶 Getting a whole lot of knitting prep done today! Swatched for the Ivy Scarf in Giselle, color Cloud.

The four holes at the bottom are a little hard to read, should have put more stockinette rows before beginning lace. Supposed to indicate US4 (four yo + k2 holes). Live and learn.

This one is for a CNA eg medical aide named Marietta here in the nursing home, who always goes the extra mile.

🧶🧶🧶 Hiya Kniterati, what do we think of this knitting? Would love some feedback on my yarn choice. It will be a balaclava-hood, called the Harris Hood.

Two strands of Rowan Fine Art variegated in pink-coral, and one strand of pink cashmere.

Also here is a picture of the woman it is for, and of the pattern. She wanted a bright color. Am I on the right path with this?

🎬 Das Fiber Life Festival fand Ende März auf der ikonischen Tianmu Plaza in 杭州 statt. Das Festival drehte sich um FIBER. Also ganz klassisch um Wolle, Garne, Stoffe, Spinnen, Weben ... aber auch um Themen wie Recycling, Kunst und Life-Balance.

Doch auch um Textilien als Metapher für das Miteinander-Verwoben-Sein und eine Gemeinschaft von Gleichgesinnten.
