Her style tends to vary with each release to some extent, where she continues to explore different textures. She makes use of dissonant elements and rhythmic shifts that end up projecting a sense of restlessness that permeates her entire catalog. She is also no stranger to integrating enjoyable hooks along the way with short, catchy bursts either, hidden as they may be inside her more complex and demanding musical structures. That said, she has been placing more emphasis on steadier beats and grooves in recent years.

the PROPAGANDA sitePool Kids | the PROPAGANDA sitePool Kids are a band that plays in the emo style with a slight math accent, though perhaps not as explicitly since their 2018 debut album Music to Practice Safe Sex To. They make use of the standard features of the genre, including some blustering guitar work, rousing choruses, and the type of up and down dynamic that gives singer-guitarist Christine Goodwyne a chance to shine with her emotive and nuanced vocals. That said, next to Caden Clinton's drumming, what truly stands out with this band is the strength of their songwriting. In addition to their melodically driven strong hooks and intricate guitar lines, their songs also feel inspired in ways that go beyond the basic know-how of strong construction and give each one the ability to stand on their own.

He does so not only in style but also in terms of the lyrical content of his songs, which have a civil rights focus filtered through an expression of religious faith. The classic elements of his music underscores his lineage going back to artists like Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye, but this is only as an emphasis or embrace. Ross does not have a retro sound. His arrangements, choices in the instrumentation, his delivery, and other aspects of his production anchor his music in contemporary terms. His work, thus far, of course, feels like a general update on a genre that has been so deeply embedded in a nation's collective consciousness.

the PROPAGANDA siteGurriers | the PROPAGANDA siteGurriers are a Dublin based Irish band that play in the post-punk style with punk relishes that may be reminiscent of the early period Fontaines D.C. in particular, but also other contemporaries like IDLES. They are shouty, loud, and fiery in similar ways. Vocalist Dan Hoff has plenty of sociopolitical frustrations he would like you to know about, and he pours them into the songs as he drifts between speak-singing and bellowing. Their music is strongly guitar-driven, with strong riffs and memorable hooks. It is gloriously unpolished, tastefully rough, and leans heavily into the noise element. The band is good at delivering a powerful punch on the nose, sonically speaking, but they also have a lower gear that they use effectively as a way to build tension.
