I just checked my #MicrosoftOffice subscription and noticed that I don’t have a Microsoft Office subscription because I let it lapse last October when MS went down the #AI rabbit-hole.

I’m investigating the possibility of moving across to #LibreOffice from #MicrosoftOffice because they’re trying to charge me more to unwillingly endure the intrusive #Copilot #AI features

but I need access to voice #dictation because I use it as a #transcription tool, and also I use speech to text a lot on my iPhone because I find typing very laborious and inaccurate

So on the LibreOffice forums, I was investigating whether you can do that in Writer (its version of Word), and I discovered a link to Apple‘s list of what you say aloud in dictation to make the text format exactly as you like

And I’m quite excited to actually see it all written down, so if you’re interested here’s the list:
