The details in that beauty are great, I love all the structure. Lots of bobble stitches in variations. (.... though not as many as in my current WIP)
I remember I made this shawl for a MAL over on Ravelry (Make-Along) with the topic Earth and my inspiration was Sedona.
The pattern itself was also a CAL (Crochet Along) by the Designers, but I made it later. In any case - I love the composition of this pattern. Bonus - the yarn is from a small yarnwinder in my country. As small as our country is, that makes her local to me. :D

This is a very special piece. In one of my yarn surprise boxes, there was this crazy luxurious yarn:
40% Wool - Merino
25% Camelid - Llama
20% Silk
15% Cellulose - Linen / Flax

I was almost scared to use it and searched the longest time for a fitting project. I eventually decided on the Shawl of the Moirae and I think it's such a special piece.

While I’m still slowly knitting up (down?) the sleeves of the jumper, to give my angry wrist a break, I have been continuing to spin up the colourful advent calendar from das-wollschaf.de.

The grey Blue Faced Leicester was so awesomely soft and squishy, but with the sari seide flecks, looked like those compressed fabric sheets used for insulation or old cleaning rags. So I plied it with another blue blend (merino, stellina) from the calendar. The other two are merino.

Little samples are great for new spinners (or newish like me) to learn what is fun to spin - sari seide isn’t my cup of tea! And good to see what base fiber would make a lovely squishy jumper - definitely fell in love with BFL even though it wasn’t as much fun to spun as merino.

🧶🧶🧶 Needed a knitting palette cleanser, so knocked out this new pattern - The Emotional Support Little Chickie, a pocket-sized comfort fowl.

Mistakes were made. And that's OK... at least the safety eyes are kinda even. Now that I know the ropes, I think I might make several to surprise-gift to people here at the nursing home.

The child-like instant joy it brings to others is everything!

#Fabricademy bootcamp 2025
May 19→25

Don't miss this year's bootcamp in Brussels to encounter international fellows in the field of #textile, #engineering and #biology.

I am co-organizing it through the #fablab @GreenFabric and the #fabricademy team (@fabtextiles ).

A great opportunity to test Fabricademy themes and way of working through intense hands-on workshops. It will cover #biomaterials with #mycelium #fungi, #modulardesign, #machineknitting with the #kniterate machine, using the #opensourcehardware machines that we built, #etextile with thermochromic inks.

Don't miss also the #MakerFaire on the following week-end (May 26-27) with the Fabricademy exhibition of final projects and a workshop on #softrobotics.

More info on bootcamp2025.textile-academy.o.

Boosts are more than welcome!

Finished! The 10 inch plate stretched it too much, I had to re-block with a smaller one. I think it might be a little small for me, I may give it away to someone with a smaller head.
