With #wwdc in America being a non option, where should I spend that week? For mental health reasons being around friends is an absolute must that week. Like many others, the money I would have spent on travel is now freed up to go somewhere else.

I am not looking forward to reading about how yet more conference attendees are detained by ICE when attending #wwdc. I know people want to make jokes about it but please recognise that it’s a reality for a lot of people outside of America and that reality causes stress, anxiety and other really serious problems.

@daringfireball #Apple is in such a tough spot this year. I think for #WWDC they should scrap the infomercial and go back to a pre-pandemic in person event. Have full one on one developer in person sessions. Apple is too insolated right now and using #YouTube influencers to spam people into paying attention. Get back to your roots.

Now that Apple's open sourcing more of the Xcode toolchain, I really hope that at WWDC they announce full support for other IDEs and actually support the tooling in other places
If not, someone else will do it
