Unfortunately, the #WhiteTailedEagle's nest is quite a distance away, so yesterday I used the 1.4 extender for the first time and it actually helps to capture the birds better. The air turbulence was kept to a minimum, but there wasn't much light – after all, I'm shooting at f/11.
Next time, I'll try using the 2x converter + monopod. The f/16 aperture will be a challenge.
