Mayor David Newman<p>Today I signed letters expressing the city's support for six state bills involving wildfire preparedness, emergency relief, short-term rentals, and alcohol and drug treatment centers. Working with our partners at @calcities, which lobbies on behalf of all of the state’s 400+ cities, we hope to see all six proposals enacted into law. The Ventura County Fire Department will be in a PLAN 2 BRUSH beginning 8:00 AM Monday through 8:00 AM Thursday, or until for conclusion of the event. This PLAN 2 BRUSH staffing pattern will be bolstered with additional firefighting resources.

This path is only 1.2 miles, mostly connecting Conejo Creek Park with the other side of the freeway (which is a good thing).
