I haven't had any contact to web publishing with #WordPress in ages but theme development seems like a programming ecosystem on its own. It has specific patterns and idioms that can't be applied anywhere else geared solely towards pushing content into templates.

I'm setting up a homepage for an initiative and we want to launch ASAP. Now I have really got to watch out that curiosity doesn't get the best of me an I dive head first into this rabbit-hole never to be seen again.

Hey Drupal People: Where are you getting your website themes from?

I've found the themes directory on drupal.org, Envato, Template Monster, Themes Forest, and DrupalThemes.io but I'm not that enthusiastic about any of those sites. There's a lot themes that haven't been updated in years.

Drupal 11 came out 2 August 2024, so I’d expect a lot of themes to be freshly updated. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places? I'm happy to purchase a theme. Free not required

@textovervideo I love it with special affection when an application shows white text on a white background because of crappy overrides.

I adore it, when the toolkit itself does it.

And I burst with ecstasy when an application I WROTE AND NO ONE ELSE IS USING is affected.
