Day 3: Recommendation for a Gripping Thriller #kdrama
If I had only one to pick, I would have to go with murder mystery Beyond Evil (2021 - Netflix & Viki).
It is unlike any detective series I’d watched. There are no heroes, no clear good or evil. There is political corruption and personal messes. There is even a kind of complex love story between the two detectives.
Probably MLs Shin Ha-kyun and Yeo Jin-goo best roles ever. Won the 2021 Best Drama Baeksang prize.
Day 2: Recommendation for Epic Love Story #kdrama
Again, the others posted are also on my lists as super fab love stories.
But award-winner Lost (2021 - iQiyi & Prime in some areas) has to be added!
Two isolated shattered souls meet amidst utterly depressing circumstances and a fragile tenuous link is born. The most delicate love story between them is woven.
One of my favourite dramas ever. Such a mood.
FL Jeon Do-yeon & ML Ryu Jun-yeol are perfectly cast.
Day 1: Recommendation for a First #Kdrama
The other First Drama recommendations on the hashtag are all great.
Mine is aimed at hooking people on the very unHollywood way that Korean dramas work so I picked: White Christmas (2011 Viki & Kocowa).
A group of unhappy boarding school students are forced - for various family reasons - to spend Christmas holidays at the dorm. Teachers disappear. Roads get blocked by a snow storm. A killer is picking them off. Addictive!
He plays a memorable character!
#kdrama #TheGreatQueenSeondeok
I started watching QUEEN SEONDEOK partly because I heard it was Kim Nam-gil’s breakout drama, and oh my God. He’s like “It’s a lovely morning in the Silla Dynasty and I am a horrible disciple.”
@dnkboston @hanktank61 @AnnaAnthro
Oh, I forced myself to finish all 60 episodes of Dong Yi so that none of you except Hank will have to!! It consisted of equal proportions of people walking across palace grounds, saying "Your Majesty, overacting, and something that was interesting. There were good actors in the drama and there was an interesting story but it was appallingly full of content that meant nothing, apparently so they could add more episodes/sell more ads.
#kdrama
Dear Hongrang is finally launching on Netflix on May 16 with Lee Jae Wook and Jo Bo Ah.
Looks like a Joseon-set #kdrama spin on Return of Martin Guerre?!
Good cast! Should be interesting.

@AnnaAnthro But the good stuff is all on Viki! #kdrama
Korean content is Netflix’s second-most watched globally: report http://www.koreatimesus.com/korean-content-is-netflixs-second-most-watched-globally-report/
@joakimfors East Asian comedy generally doesn't sync well with me. The attached image shows all the Dramas that I've tagged as having comedy either primary or secondary genre. Not many out of almost 530, and #JDrama has a clear edge over #KDrama
#kdrama #ResidentPlaybook ep 01
"It's not that i don't want to work. I can't. I tried but I don't think the working environment suits me. It's too hard."
It's 22:16 and after enduring three full episodes of #KDrama #ThePotatoLab vainly hoping to find some trace of either rom or com, it's binned. Actually, that's a bit harsh, the cookoff in ep 3 was mildly amusing. I like the 2 leads and REALLY like Kim Ga Eun, but this one was flatter than my singing, sadly. On the upside, it means I'll getting on to the Art of Negotiation sooner.
