”I’ve checked my misspellings but my mis-thoughts will have to stand as they are. …I look forward to when we can sit down in together person.”

”You’re right that music influences our psychedelic experience, but perhaps not exactly in the way you propose. In my experience, it is not so much that strong music pushes you in its direction, but it can help loosen the ties that bind us to our customary and fixed patterns of thinking and feeling.”

“It’s certainly tricky to trust “data” that comes from non-ordinary states of consciousness. What a swamp our minds can be; the collective psyche even more so. But experience is all I have to offer here. I see and understand your warnings…”

“What we bring to the encounter certainly influences what arises there, especially in the beginning, but as our experience deepens, we enter the common ground of the universe itself, known from different perspectives and through different lenses, to be sure, but recognizable as common ground.”

#Learning about different #IdentityLabels is more than just discovering a #category of #people who are "out there" somewhere. It is that, and that is important as well, for appreciating the vast and intricate #diversity of our species and for holding #solidarity in #liberation struggles. But it's also about #understanding new lenses to view our own selves and #experiences through, and how new #concepts #apply or don't in our own #lives. That's #subversive to #cisheteronormativity.

Many years ago, as a college student, I was flying home, and as I stood in the aisle waiting for the slow-moving boarding queue to allow me to reach my seat, the flight attendant did their typical “welcome aboard” announcement, only I noticed the flight number was not my flight. I glanced down at my ticket to confirm (the days of paper tickets), and indeed, the number didn’t match. I knew, however, that the flight number at the gate had matched my ticket, and also the gate attendant had verified my ticket on boarding. I glanced around, a bit anxious now, but no one else seemed concerned. I made my way back up to the front of the plane, and politely asked the flight attendant to confirm the flight. A couple of man-bros (yes, they’ve always existed)in first class overheard, and started laughing and loudly making fun of me for getting on the wrong flight. Only a few moments later, the flight attendant got back on the coms to announce that she had announced the wrong flight number. The men promptly shut up and stopped laughing but didn’t apologize to me. Anyway, this whole thing rather feels like a metaphor for our current existence…

Much of my #life I have been stomped on and belittled by those that lack the #sensoryawareness of the #experiences I have had in this life. If I #dare #speak about what I experience they #assume I am #crazy when in truth they fail to #see beyond their own #projections of #confusion and or #sensory #ignorance - Many allow this #abuse to #silence them and then #society at large loses greatly in its #abilities of greater #consciousness and the person being abused often suffers in silence
