National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. It already has 209 electoral votes worth of states on board. When it reaches 270, the compact becomes active. Whoever wins the national popular vote gets the electoral votes of the states in the compact. Check to see if your state has already signed up. If it hasn't, bother your state representatives until they do.

89 million US citizens who were registered, did not vote in Nov 2024 Harris got 74.8 million Trump got 77.2 million
About 1/4 of the US citizens voted for Trump, about 1/4 voted for Harris. In the swing States, Wisconsin, Trump won by less than 1%. In Michigan, he won by about 1%. In Pennsylvania, he won by about 1.5 %. This is a 50 50 nation, because about 50% of all US citizens are NOT registered and don't vote. In two years, there are more elections, GET TO WORK, register more and vote more!

The latest #PresidentialElection news: #convictedFelon #DonaldTrump has 312 votes in #antiquated #electoralCollege, meaning there's slightly more disappointing #Americans than were known a few days ago.

Also troubling are the 2,355,404 votes (1.6%) who voted for #JillStein, #RobertKennedy, #ChaseOliver, & other candidates. Sure, their votes wouldn't make #KamalaHarris' popular vote higher than #AnnoyingOrange's, but maybe it would've improved her electoral college numbers.

but more importantly, since 2013 when John Roberts said in a Supreme Court decision that USA was now post-racial thanks to people voting for Obama, so no voting rights were needed, republicans doubled down on voting suppression since then.

Just looking at the 2020 results on the Fox website.

California with its ~17m voters had 55 electors. Alaska with ~0.34m voters had 3 electors.

That comes to roughly one elector at 114k voters in Alaska, and 311k voters in California.

Please explain how come that Alaskian voters are 2.7 times more important than Californians? Where is the democracy here?
