Okay, I've gotten back to #BASIC, and this time I dug deeper. Seems like there are means of abstractions after all. There are one-liner functions (DEF FN) and multi-line subroutines (GO SUB & RETURN.) So I can actually structure my programs without #GOTO-s! Maybe I'll implement #ed in BASIC after all...

Nearly half of the department is expected to be🚨eliminated.

Staff at the DoED received a notice Tues instructing them to leave the bldg by 6 PM & informing them that all dept offices in DC +regional offices, will be closed Wed.

Email, from J Hairfield of the Office of Sec, Facs & Logis, said the offices will be closed "for security reasons."

Staff with approved telework AGTs were told they can work from home Wed. The email instructed employees to bring their laptops home...

Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are asking the District of Columbia’s bar association to investigate #Ed #Martin, the interim U.S. attorney in the capital, saying that he had “abused” prosecutorial power to threaten his political opponents.

In a letter to the bar association on Thursday, the senators, led by Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, the committee’s top Democrat, also accused Mr. Martin of violating professional standards by refusing to recuse himself from a case involving a Capitol rioter he privately represented and dismissing charges against the man.

Martin, a Missouri Republican who has used social media to threaten critics of Donald Trump and Elon Musk, has upended one of the most important U.S. attorney’s offices in the country.
He has purged nonpolitical career staff involved in the investigations of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack and at times directly interceded in prosecutorial decision-making.

Au final y a qu'eux qui pensent qu'ils sont pas purement et simplement macronistes. Ils s'accomodent très bien de la merde de #Macron. Tous fachos. En tout cas, ça en fait du monde pour qui je voterai (plus) jamais. Du #PCF au #RN. En fait, ceux qui jouent les aveugles et qui véhiculent continuellement cette idée de "menace" d'#ED qui resterait à distance comme un arc-en-ciel malgré qu'ils t'enfoncent toujours plus loin dedans depuis 10 ans, c'est juste qu'ils en font parti.

A right-wing activist who has consistently defended the January 6 storming of the Capitol has been nominated by Donald Trump to serve as the permanent top federal prosecutor in the city where it happened
Trump named #Ed #Martin as US attorney for the District of Columbia,
the top prosecutor for all serious local crimes by adults in the district.
His appointment must be confirmed by the US Senate.
Martin has echoed Trump’s baseless and incorrect claims that the 2020 election was stolen,
