I noticed in the OSTree remote list on #Fedora Silverblue that there is now a new entry in the Fedora Atomic Desktops, #COSMIC.

Which is great news for those who want to use (and appreciate) COSMIC but with the benefits of Fedora Atomic.

It's still in alpha, so any issues are expected.

Alas, my experiment with @tuxedocomputers Tuxedo OS on Hardcase, my Early 2014 MacBook Air, has run into hardware issues.

I was able to get the old Broadcom Wi-Fi working with broadcom-wl, but it looks like the Apple keyboard drivers may have been removed from Tuxedo’s kernel, as couldn’t get the function keys working at all with the usual fnmode method.

So it’s back to #UltramarineLinux while I wait for @system76 to finish #COSMIC.

Being an alpha version, I'm reading a lot of problems for some people using #Cosmic DE, but I have to say, for use on my laptop which is mostly used for some browsing and such, it's really sweet! It seems to be nicer on the battery as well. Not too unimportant for a laptop.

#COSMIC is not even out of alpha and there's lots of #accessibility features already available!

There's more work to be done, for sure, but this is a very nice to see!
