What is happening with nvidia and deepseek?
@sam_bughunter deepseek is a Chinese startup who developed a reasoning model for AI (named R1 ) that seems to be on par with OpenAI's chatgpt o1, much more energy efficient and with way less monetary resources.
Also, the model is open source, which means anyone now can be a direct competition to OpenAI, Google, etc.
Since most of the hardware resources for american companies are basically Nvidia cards, its market value fell... A lot ... I'm seeing down 11~13%
